Plenty to see and hear at today's venue, which wouldn't have been the case if we'd stayed with the intended location - Pocklington Canal. Most of the species seen were very similar to the post of Thursday 11th June, but we saw 3 Water Voles at the same time this morning, which is pretty good going; plus this afternoon there were 2 tiny Grass Snakes under one of the felt mats. In the morning we found a recently shed skin of the same species. The Common Tern chicks had grown substantially in 5 days, and there were plenty of others. A Buzzard was seen in the afternoon being mobbed by Lapwings. Overall a good tally of varied species.
